Exactly the same situation for me. We both hold good degrees and work in quite well paid professions (software and marketing), but can’t afford to move to a bigger home without moving away from the friends and family that would make parenting much easier.

The refusal of many millennials to grow up has not only led to a lack of children but also a lack of responsible adults. Soon we will have to import them from overseas.
