Good morning #PortfolioDay I'm a biologist and scientific illustrator, and I mainly focus on birds, but also do my share of bugs, plants, and other subjects. I illustrate for scientific papers, public/outreach materials, and also have done a few board games now too! 🎨🪶🐡🧪

Golden White-eye/Kanario, a species endemic to the Northern Mariana Islands. This chunky white-eye is unlike the rest in barely having an eyering, and instead having a body colored yellow all over. Here it is perched on a branch as it searches through the understory for insects and fruit.
Goosenest unit, Klamath National Forest species assemblage. Spotted Towhee female, green-leaf manzanita, ponderosa pine, California sister butterfly, and Vosnesensky bumble bee. For The Institute for Bird Populations.
Brevirostruavis illustration. This enantiornithine bird is depicted speculatively gleaning pollen and small insects from Cretaceous flowers with its long tongue, hinted at by its enlarged hyoid structure in found skulls. It has a toothed snout, clawed wings, and short legs.
