An Update on Gaza: What You Should Know September 18, 2024 200,000+ Palestinians are projected to have been killed* by Israeli forces in Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023. This number includes at least 172 journalists and media workers, at least 885 health workers, and 296 aid workers. More than 95,400 people have been injured, many of them critically wounded, with a quarter of them having sustained "life-changing" injuries. *This number includes those killed either directly or indirectly from bombing, gunfire, manmade famine, disease, etc. This is a conservative estimate from The Lancet.
