Disgraced public intellectual Yascha Mounk has a new essay titled โWhere Environmentalists Went Wrong.โ His main thesis is that instead of focusing on *banning plastic straws*, environmentalists should act more like the effective altruism movement. โฆ Why, lord, why must you test me like this?

I'm torn. The high 407 tolls reduce traffic. If the public reappropriated it, those tolls or any tolls at all would be difficult to sustain. Otoh, the 407 could be use to get through-traffic out of the city, esp trucks, and that would be good for public health.
And build that stupid tunnel, dont forget...

My guess is Netanyahu needs another front as the available targets in Gaza diminish. An airstrike a day keeps the corruption charges at bay.
