Tbh tinder. Once dating sites realized they could manipulate the algorithm to make men pay more for premium services just to be seen it was cooked.
To Do was a minimalist list app with a clean layout and basic features—nothing fancy but it worked. Then Microsoft bought it and now it crashes constantly I'm not over the edge yet, but I'm afraid it's just gonna keep deteriorating. At least it doesn't have ads
Spotify.
There was an app/site called whisk where amateur cooks could post their recipes and TikTok videos of their recipes for others to freely use. You could search by ingredients it was great. Then Samsung bought it.
SoundCloud. Been a paying subscriber since 2011. They borked the functionality so hard in an effort to build revenue that it was impossible to listen to new or interesting music without insane frustration. Stopped paying this year, and felt like I was hurting independent music when I did so.
