I’ve heard this on and off whenever ppl who canvass for Harris visit those households the husband would intimidate them or his wife—who clearly wants to talk to them—into making the canvassers go away it’s extremely fucked up, but not surprising that MAGA attracts abusers like this

I saw that a lot while canvassing. I didn’t want the women to face abuse, so I’d usually lie and say I made a mistake going to the house. I’m not sure if that was the right solution.

I have had this experience simply canvassing for Dems in VA since 2017…
