Yeah, some state statutes can be more restrictive than Federal rules.
It's not illegal to own and operate a still. Steam distillation, say, to collect essential oils of plants, is entirely legal. It's aonly illegal to operate a still if you are getting ethyl alcohol out the discharge port and don't have a distiller's license.

Is true. I have a *lot* of respect for the Jesuits. Among other things, the best commander I served under in 24 years in the Army had been Jesuit-educated. I do feel sometimes, though, that too many folks are a little too willing to pretend that the Jesuits are faultless.
