I'm just looking to surround myself with people I can genuinely connect with—friends to hang out with, not those who are only around for their own reasons. It’s more about quality relationships than being well-known

Can be tough in today's world. More people staying home watching "Friends" than going out and making them for themselves. My experience, try to find one quirky person to be friends with who is fun to hang out with, and more will join you if having a good time. I would suggest art classes.
