It should not have taken prominent JC contributors or the recent scandal for people to speak up about how problematic our communal publication has been or become. It is a disservice to those in British Jewry who have raised concerns for some time. We need to ask ourselves, why.

The silence has been too loud, for too long. Regardless of politics, Jewish life and communities here deserve better than what has been enabled.
