We've got great weather for the last weekend of the summer, so we hit the road this afternoon to go and sit on the shore of Lightning Lake in Manning Park for a spell. Beautiful views as well (as always) way above the lake at the Cascade lookout. As Bradbury wrote: Farewell, summer.
The Terminator: Zero anime series on Netflix is OK. I like the idea of a rival AI to Skynet, & anime is probably the best format to continue playing in the franchise's sandbox. But there are weak points: inconsistency in the Terminator's abilities, & poor use of some characters during the climax.
Just learned that Langley's Hilltop Cafe is now closed permanently. End of an era. So long to the Lower Mainland's best burgers and BC's best pie.
