As LSU makes its bid for membership in a prestigious academic organization, its librarians have been put on notice to publish more research.

This kind of bullshit here is a big reason why I am not in favor of tenure tracks for librarians. I just want to do with my job w/o the pretentious trappings of "publish or perish." (c)
