Hi, I’m trying to learn the etiquette around artists works, what is & isn’t appropriate. Let’s say I find art I’d like to use as inspiration/reference/guide myself; for example- is using a pose or making my own version ok? Not to steal, copy or such- that’s not the intent. What’s the rule of thumb?

As someone who has often always done things with the express intent to make sources obvious, I'd often say making it clear what things you referenced or got inspired by to result in something being made. Credit & making inspirations obvious is one of the best ways to go about it!
