Yeah most ovens cooktops in NZ are drawing 3.2kw and are on a 20 amp Circuit breaker. So plenty of power there . Our kettle is 240 volt and drawing 2.2kw Biggest bonus of kettle is that it switches off once boiled. Safety aspect. And… We all know a watched pot never boils . 😎

Ok I just had to have an experiment. Took 2m16seconds to boil 750mls (quart) of tap water via the kettle Further 5m15secs to bring 750mls of tap water to the boil on our gas hob. Then I made myself a coffee ☕️
