A question for editors of scientific journals: Do you (still) accept review requests? Do you no longer accept them (or accept fewer) because editing now takes this time? Or do you accept as many or more because you understand the struggle of getting reviewers?
Great question, which I’ve wanted to know the answer to. When I started as an editor, I didn’t accept any because I didn’t have time. I’m now trying to accept, when possible, in areas that are very close to what I see as my ‘areas’. I feel like that is a compromise for me.
