There’s a few more qualifiers before you get to fascism, and no one is suggesting a one-party government. What’s being pointed out is that the currently active fascists should not be invited into the halls of power.

Your suggestion is withholding aid to punish people for how they vote, which would also harm people who didn’t vote to have their face eaten by leopards. This suggestion is bad.

This would not sway a single conservative voter, but would absolutely harm thousands of vulnerable people, mainly of color. It is a cruel and frankly stupid idea.

We should not have a bipartisan government. We should have a parliament with multiple parties and ranked-choice voting. However that’s not the conversation. The conversation is that Republicans should never be invited to any position of power, because they’re fascists.
