This is my favorite game with which to remind people that the pc engine is an 8 bit console. What a range!

Excellent choice! I love this game, and I hope it and its prequel (one of Yoshio Kiya’s last games for Falcom) get fan translations some day. Another good “I can’t believe the PC Engine can do that” game is the Arcade Card Tengai Makyou fighter. Holy shit those backgrounds

Tengai Makyou: Kabuki Ittou Ryoudan (PC Engine CD / 1995) - Okuni [Playthrough/LongPlay]

The Street Fighter II CE port is the one I always go to for that. It's insane that they managed to pull off a port that good on the PC Engine.

Also the Ys game on PCE CD with cutscenes ??? And voice acting ??? Can't remember the one but that would have been quite impressive I'm sure. And for one I have discovered fairly recently (last year or maybe 2022) the intro movie to Castlevania Chi no Rondo is outstanding as well And the music!!!
