They didn’t simply walk among us, they governed us, albeit briefly. This is what happens when you ask Tory members to choose a Prime Minister. It must never happen again.

Tory members can't and didn't choose a Prime Minister. They chose a party leader, as is their fundamental democratic right. The problem lies with the fact that the Prime Minister is an appointed position, and the executive in the UK is unelected.
This was held over until after the election was over. Imagine if it had leaked. The Tories would have been lucky to hold onto a single seat.
