I'm pretty sure the media outlets who interview these "undecided voters" are 100% aware that they are anything but & I think they may even intentionally use Trump supporters. The realtor who was on the CNN panel after the Harris-Trump debate admitted CNN knew he was a Trump supporter
As someone very there for dinging the NYT (see my feed) this is unfair, she's not in any way portrayed as an undecided or swing voter. There's not the slightest implication of that. She's just one of the poll respondents.
