Every guy whose main career is “sometimes giving opinions when I feel like it and once in awhile I do a podcast” also believes that every human being other than them craves toiling in underground salt mines for 18 hours a day
All the other people around me can never comprehend the pain and responsibility that it is to be me, the only real human being on earth.
I swear its fucking a kayfabe character at this point. Ridiculous Centrist Matt, the asshat take haver, out of DC. Wants a billion americans who also need to be worked in Dickensian work environments. The fuckin arrogance.
Personally, I think that if you’ve never had an actual job, you should refrain from opining about employment. Mostly this opinion is about the corporate executive class, but it definitely extends to the podcast bros as well.
Next from this guy: I have been imbued with glorious purpose!
I remember when he quit vox specifically because he resented people doing basic copy editing on his work!
These people think themselves so intelligent and above it all. But if this maxim applies at all, it does to him too. Hubris is a helluva drug.
I suspect what's going on with columnists is that deep down they know they're stealing a living, their only stress in work is imposter syndrome and a very easy deadline. So they do feel loads better about themselves when they pin themselves to a desk to write or go into the office or something.
I'm a tradesman, I find my job enjoyable and rewarding, but if I win the lottery I would never work a day in my life again. I hate these bozos with every fiber of my being.
