Is it possible (or probable) that scammed users are keeping quiet about it, except for the complaints, as so as not to harm the image of the lead scammer? Specially since the lead scammer is notorious for, you know, scamming people for the last 60 years? This is kinda fucking sad.

Unlikely. People don't tend to be quiet once they realize they've been scammed; it just takes a lot of people a while to come to terms with yes, they were scammed
