"they don't pay taxes" they pay sales tax but also that's not a test to vote "but how young is too young?" Probably around age 1 or 2, since before that they can't really meaningfully indicate preference I won't even say "needs to be able to hold a pencil" because again - that's not a test to vote

"but they can't read!" not a test to vote "But they don't UNDERSTAND THE ISSUES" not a test to vote. Even the most educated adults don't understand all issues anyway I don't care if they vote on ice cream policy (issue priority is not a test to vote). Let kids vote.
