I just happen to see this post, and I’m excited to read your article. The prior question about whether “the self” (as most of us conceive it, anyway) even actually exists is of especially deep interest to me.

It’s a great question to contemplate especially when we consider how technology may extend the bounds of the self. One of the questions I pose on this essay is if a self needs a body to be a self.
