Thank you! I've so far almost exclusively done contract work for big companies, so I've gotten everything from $.005/word for scientific proofreading to $60/hr for copyediting sales materials. Trying to figure out what's reasonable to charge individuals has been a pain. XD

Proofreading pays the least of all editorial services. Copy editing pays a little more but less than the numbers I gave. Those were for developmental edits, which is what I do. Also those rates are for fiction so Idk what's standard for nonfiction. I imagine it varies per industry.
