On further reflection, the selection of @simine.com as Editor-in-Chief of Psychological Science is one of the most important milestones for the reform movement in psychology. There will be impact on the journal, sure. But more, selecting a committed, visible reformer illustrates its normalization.

It is different than other key milestones like Eric Eich and Steve Lindsay's outstanding EIC work at Psych Science. They initiated and fostered reform from the inside, and paved the way for other editors to do the same, and set the stage for selection of Simine to seem plausible, even ordinary.
