Caveat that I don’t have full insight on everything, this is my personal recollection/perspective. There were (at least) three options. Are replications consistent w/ [1] the hypothesized discovery [2] the hypothesized discovery, only w/confirmation + [3] the confirmation, regardless of hypothesis

We failed to recognize in advance that this was not just a simple translation of using the Reproducibility Project outcomes for this case. So, we had to wrestle with what is the appropriate way to report replication outcomes given the project objectives. That prompted substantial discussion.
