All I have to do is run two commands and it works flawlessly on arch I don’t even wanna KNOW how bad it is on Ubuntu (if it even is at all)
The gamemoderun part requires gamemode which at least is in pacman if your on an arch based system (idk about apt or dnf or whatever other package manager you use)
I mean I got my ass beat but I did get into a game and played a match so yeah, the game works online on Linux (at least with delay netcode) If you want my launch options, here it is SteamDeck=1 gamemoderun %command%

Fighterz works on Linux I remember playing the game through proton I think I probably just put SteamDeck=1 %command% in my launch options If I’m wrong, you should probably check protondb.com

Try as many distros as you can through vms or spare hardware n stuff and see which one is too your liking, then stick with it
