Yeah, my husband has just about finished writing an entire CRM program that doesn't require cloud storage. He's hoping that there is or will be a market for alternatives to big tech, especially as they continue to implement AI everywhere :/
I have spent *decades* haunted by vague memories of this movie but not enough to identify it. Thank you so much for posting this!!
I live in Taiwan. We had robust contact tracing and quarantine. This let us go to bars, restaurants, movie theatres with little to no risk of contracting Covid. I lived 'normally' for the first 3 years of the pandemic, wearing surgical masks everywhere, but still eating and drinking out, safely.
Masking is, currently, the only thing we can do as individuals to protect ourselves and others, hence the push for masking. We need systemic actions. We need air filtration. We NEED contact tracing, quarantine, and sick leave. But gov't has to do that and they are unwilling to, so we mask.
I too loved that time. I have saved many of the 'lik the bread' memes that went around. They make me happy :)
Has anyone introduced to you Taiwanese Pizza Hut?? Black pepper beef and beef meatball pizza. Scallop, prawn, and crab pizza. Scallop and soft-shell crab pizza. Bonus: Every holiday inevitably has a bizarre pizza combination.
That show made me care *deeply* about a space tardigrade. Bad writing is simply not capable of that.
I grew up in a cult and am positively fascinated by other cults. I too will watch any cult documentary, North Korea documentary, and my podcast app is full of QAnon.
The cybertruck looks like an asset from the N64 "Goldeneye" game. Between that and his re-naming of Twitter to "X", the man thinks it's still 1997.
Invites have started to go out to light/medium twitter users. I have a very small twitter account with light activity and got my invite for here about a week ago.
