This post she wrote shortly after is very funny. Openly acknowledging that people think they are con artists. www.linkedin.com/posts/lumeil...

As some of you may know, we've been working on HeHealth for many years. I've encountered a hilarious pattern that never fails to amuse me. 🤣 Whenever I'm out networking, sharing what we do, the reactions are predictably two sided.

Men, almost without exception, offer a chuckle and say, "Wow, this is cool, but I'll never use it." On the flip side, women got excited and say, "Wow, this is so cool, I'm definitely telling my partner to check it out." And guess what? Many actually do!

And so we did! Since we break the news about Calmara few days ago. The response? It's been also super two sided.

We have a group of people telling me: "This is so damn cool; I'm using it myself or spreading the word to my still-dating friends." "Love your vision, let me know how I can support." While the others say: "This is privacy clusterfucks" "Stop selling snake oil" "This sounds like, at best, a privacy nightmare." etc.

This is just that Chris Farley sketch: “sure, we’re a ‘privacy clusterfuck,’ sure, we may be ‘selling snake oil,’ sure we have ‘large cakes of deodorant under our armpits for extended periods of time…’”

I can't stop thinking about this exchange the founder had with a nurse. Instead of answering her concerns, Lu told her to upload a random dick pic and test the app. No worries who the pic belongs to and if they consented to their image being used this way! They clearly do not care about privacy.

"Hey Diana, thanks for sharing your point of view. 😊 perhaps you can find a dic pic somewhere and try out the app (pictures of random objects won't pass our AI filter), we don't really mention any "diagnosis" in the service, and it's free to use. "

"Everyone I talk to thinks what we're doing is great, especially women, in fact just today a woman approached me with tears in her eyes and fell to her knees thanking me for all of our good work..."

... Okay, first off, to be pedantic, the medical route is the scientific route. Secondly...Maybe, just maybe, the medical community DOES have answers, but government budget cuts as well as the gov not giving a shit is why they haven't been implemented.

A screenshot from the linked in post that says, "I've been telling Yudara Kularathne MD, FAMS(EM) and our team: we've tried the medical and scientific route, we got great feedback from the academia and medical world, but if things aren't changing and the ground reality is still the same (if not worse) - e.g. continuous rising STI rates, government budget cuts, low awareness etc., we're not doing it right. It's safe to do the same thing, but we don't just settle there. "

(company holding sensitive, dubiously accurate data about you) "we're all about breaking down barriers and starting conversations!" the lawsuits kind of write themselves...

“We’ve tried the medical and scientific route and fuck that shit” is a very funny sentiment.
