"[Scotland] has detected no cases of cervical cancer in women born between 1988-1996 who were fully vaccinated against HPV between the ages of 12 and 13." That's honestly so amazing.

By my reckoning, it'll look something like: • Services 80.5% (currently 79.4%) • Manufacturing 9.3% (vs 9.9%) • Construction 6.2% (unch) • Extraction 0.85% (1.05%)

👀 One thing to watch for in Monday's GDP release: the ONS is updating its industry weights for the first time in years. In other words, the source of stats like "manufacturing = 10% of economic output" will be given a refresh. It'll be based to 2022.

Another bit of minibudgetology I would like to know more about: How did Kwarteng end up implementing something that was received so badly by markets, having written stuff like this 15 years ago?

For me, the fatal incongruity of the Growth Plan was: 1. Ignore BoE/OBR/IMF/city forecasters, they are wrong. 2. My Growth Plan is 100% CERTAIN to pay for itself by DOUBLING the rate of economic growth, and I have Patrick Minford on my side.
