Private Beta Update & Roadmap

Our priorities continue to be a focus on moderation and curation to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for users, and protocol work to launch federation.

Since our last update, we've shipped new features including: • custom feeds • blocks and mutelists • more fine-grained content moderation controls • custom domains as handles • production desktop app • invite codes per account • accessibility improvements • app passwords

Suggestion for custom feeds: there is a need for clearer documentation around how to deploy these, and for more docs around the architecture of BlueSky more generally. Going to 🧵 here about some misapprehensions that devs new to the ecosystem could have:

How does one edit the default domain? Cannot find a specific screen in the app’s settings screen.

“Invite codes per account. We added server-level tooling to distribute invites on a regular cadence.” What does this mean? I’ve been here two weeks, but not given a code to pass on yet. Yes, I’m just teensy weensy.

What feedback did you receive from T&S experts and how will they be used to improve the moderation feature set? Content filters is a user experience feature when there's a critical need to address the targeted harassment of minorities in BlueSky.

I still wish that you create LISTS like with we had in the 🐦 app.
