Okay, that's disappointing, the main share URL that bluesky generates is vulnerable to link rot if you ever change your handle. You'd need to grab the perma URL (which uses did: format) to make sure the links you share are permanently accessible while the posts are still up.

As far as I can tell the easiest way to get the perma URL is using the "generate embed HTML" function but that's basically wizardry for most users.

that's a shame—though i suppose kind of inherent to the (technically) federated nature? the ID is unique but you can't necessarily know which instance to look for it on, right? not that you couldn't pretty easily work around this, but you'd need some degree of permanent handle redirect probably?
