In my free time I've been playing Risen by PiranhaBytes. Finally got around to trying it out after watching videos about it from Mortismal Gaming and Click4Gameplay. I originally tried out Gothic 1 and 2 but they were way too clunky and difficult for me, so I couldn't get into them.

Anyway, I'll eventually get around to making a review of Risen, but just wanted to give my initial thoughts on it here 🎮

Also, I didn't see ONE woman in the inquisition or order of warriors so that's also making me less interested in the faction since it's much more boring because of it just being like 100% men.

Though I do feel like the bandits are shown in the best light from how most characters talk about them, whereas the Inquisition is seen as evil and oppressive. The Order is supposed to be neutral, thus succumbing to the Inquisition's orders. Makes me less interested in these other two factions.

Risen is much less clunky than the Gothic games, though the combat system is still quite annoying and difficult for me even on Easy difficulty. I already know I won't bother to finish it since the main plot quality takes a nosedive after chapter 2. BUT, the story in the first two chapters are great!
