As expected, tonight is an amalgamation of every Braves playoff loss ever. Bats flailing away helplessly against Sterling Hitchcock and Livan Hernández and Jonathan Sánchez and Tony Gonsolin and so many other bums. Hate this feeling I know so well.

Welp, at least the Padres can get this all over with quickly tomorrow. Fun to make it to the dance — would have been more fun with a sweep of the Mets yesterday — but nobody needs to see this broken, battered Braves team any longer than necessary.

Ahh yes, let’s add Kyle Higashioka to the list of Braves playoff killers. Like clockwork.
