A bunch of lads got onto my train, all elbows and beer bottles. One lad said he was off to spend a few months in King's Lynn. His lad mate said "Oh! It has beautiful Hanseatic architecture."

Oh, I forgot about Big Sainsbury's - it does indeed have a lot of useful house and garden things under one roof.

Missing the local shops Cutlacks and Kailash. Could pop out, buy a couple of garden things and household things and be home in 30 minutes. Now it's 30 minutes walk each way and a hunt through a warehouse; big excursion for me, needs planning (weather, timing, pacing, bathrooms, cab home?).

I woke briefly in the early hours, checked my phone, and got this earworm:-)

Accidentally put two blades (stuck together) in the rotary cutter, and all my cuts were thready with cotton dandruff. Took a while to figure that one out. Is it normal? Is it my technique? Is it my cutter? What's supposed to happen? Doesn't happen with tutor's cutter, same brand.

A good thing about acquired wisdom is that I knew to expect a bit of struggle while I worked out how to do things for the first time and couldn't find the switches etc, so I was patient while persevering. Class is good for quick answers to get you started and get the trouble shot.

I started a patchwork/quilting class yesterday. We began with a a straightforward thing that grows quickly. Good class but I was wiped out after 2 hours of learning and trying new things. How it started:

Patchwork bits - a 10cm square with a half square attached at left and right; above it, two half squares sewn together on the short edge ready to attach to the top edge of the other bit. Modern print in bright colours, spots and crosses. Not your granddad's old shirt.

I've put your money in a vault that you can open later. It's called an escrow chamber.

I mentally constructed a giant pondering about how I understood it through context because it was used prevalently and playfully, and now I don't define my personality by band t-shirts etc. But that's not what you asked :-) - ItMe - wordcloud or MyWordcloud

I went to riffle through my small strawberry plants, looking for berries. I saw lots of flashes of red and was thrilled with the potential harvest till I remembered I'd painted my fingernails that morning. Got one berry :-)
