I am delighted to announce that thanks to a recent legislation, I have qualified for early retirement from Istanbul University, where I have been teaching for almost 25 years since I got my BA! So long, IU, and thanks for all the fish!🐬 More delightful news in 2025!

It is a time-honoured tradition in Turkey to continue to work at a private university after retirement from a state university. I plan to continue to work, too, after a well-earned break during which time I'll be focusing on some projects.🎐
