Hijikata and Okita (famous swordmen of that group) are the ones who invite him actually. And there are other two kids who join up, one of them named like a shinsengumi captain so I guess it's him. It's like action/comedy/historical but sadly only 2 volumes are translated 😭
It's a historical/shounen manga! It's about a kid who joins a group of swordmen who invite him after they see potential in him and he accepts bc he really wants to make a change. The group is seen as dangerous by ppl but they are actually good men. That group would become the shinsengumi later.
