As not-super-positive on the episode as I was, Bargatze himself never faltered - I didn't think the show worked as well for him, but he was better and seemed a bit more assured (which befits someone on their second go-round, but is good to see just the same).

You know, re: that last sketch, cut though as it was...that's why I watch live. I mean, ANY show I love I prefer to watch right away, but with this insane operation, there is that "how is this going to shake out as it's going on?" suspense/exhilaration that you gotta love. #SNL

Folks...again, I expect some overdramatic disappointment, but I can't act like I'M thrilled with this ep. myself. It had its moments, a couple of strong segments but really not enough - and at times, it felt like they were less confident in/about Bargatze than *last* time. #SNL

Ooh-wee, T-Shayn! They cut that "jerseys" sketch WAY down, right? I really liked what was there, even if I don't know if it had the makings of greatness. #SNL

I don't know, man...I know some people are about to love that, like, "It's season 50, why SHOULDN'T we get a Lonely Island 'SNL Digital Short'-branded music video!" but...because it's not helping the #SNL#SNL

I appreciate the messy-physical-silliness in...I don't want to say "in theory," but at a remove, because that sketch just didn't do much of anything for me even as I like Heidi goofing around like that. #SNL

As I watch Sarah play another "straight" part - which everyone on SNL should, there's nothing wrong with that in itself, but I want more squirm-y stuff - I want to say: I need more of you to go see THE SUBSTANCE to make sure it's a Thing that Sarah can do something with on #SNL.

The official title of that one will probably not be "Dead Guy Down the Water Slide," but...it is for ME, and I really liked that: Loved the idea, loved what Bargatze and Longfellow were doing, hope it portends an uptick in the episode. #SNL

A "white American caught up in an incomprehensible-to-him international game show" is going to remind me of the "Japanese Game Show" sketch from the season 20 Alec Baldwin episode...and even if this didn't knock me out, it was more pleasant/less problematic than that. #SNL

"Washington's Dream" round 2 was, as I basically expected, much like the second "David S. Pumpkins" from the Jack Harlow episode - I can't NOT consider it a bad idea, I cannot roll with the "they HAD TO bring it back" argument (they didn't), but there are SOME funny new lines/details. #SNL
