My wife ran a Masters scheme with managers of the food dept of a well known store chain. At the end their dissertations were real world plans for improvement in many areas and the retailer benefitted..

Why do headlines have to be sensational? "Crisis". Why not present it as an interesting repositioning plan? And why take Tory-style focus on economic and tangible benefits? Opening the mind, critical thinking, seeking and validating solutions, and wider horizons are vital for a healthy society.

The big headline for me is £1 of gov funding yields £14 into local economy. If that’s right, the VAT alone would self fund surely?
