The means of change have progressed beyond picking a side and supporting a candidate. You can only be political if you trust the government and believe there are a reasonable amount of candidates that care about the well being of the country and not themselves.

If you think being political is limited to picking a side and supporting a candidate, your education on the nature of politics is woefully limited. It has never been so and whatever you do or refuse to do about the terms of governance is inherently political. This is not an invitation for debate.

You are missing out on more civic engagement. Think about teaching, or jury duty. I know it is difficult in such polarizing times especially with elections. When i feel helpless i volunteer to help homeless people...try it. It helps
