that makes a lot of sense and i like it a lot! if we see him as the trickster entity, forcing him to 'repent' by our standards is actually very cruel

also pointless tbh. i think he’d even try to accept whatever punishment is decided on when he sees he truly failed. especially if the hand holding the sword would belong to his (ex?)friends. but then, to stop fighting for him would probably mean death, spiritually. so i dont see it working out
