Joker Folie Deux makes me want to rewatch two movies I consider AMAZING (certainly far better than Joker 2) but which I NEVER thought I'd have the appetite or heart to watch again: Dancer in the Dark (2000) from Lars von Trier (starring Bjork!) and Pans Labyrinth (2006) from Guillermo del Toro.
The neighbour kids did a very mini DND session with my partner. The 8 year old wanted to be Sonic and the 4 year old wanted to be Pikachu. They fought a dragon together.
One of the coolest things about being middle aged is that (assuming things go reasonably well, statistically speaking) I have my whole life ahead of me! And this time around I actually know stuff and can do things right from the start and I have way more resources. It’s kind of awesome, honestly!
My partner doesn't play too many games anymore but they booted up Banjo Kazooie for the first time since they were a kid and I'm so happy to watch.
I follow policy news pretty closely, and I didn't catch a bunch of these stories. I don't think voters appreciate the importance of staffing or how much better Biden has been at it than most. This team gets a lot done.
made some cookies with the neighbors kids. with 3 helpers aged 4, 5, and 8, it was much less messy than expected
I keep a big 'ol sorted Google Sheets document 😁 My cousins have seen me pull it out! Only problem now is navigating the interface and limited selection of the Karaoke joints we go to...
about 6 months ago I started growing rosemary so I'd always have it fresh in case I needed it and as a result this is what all my recipe searches look like now
Just thinking out loud about how much happier I am with no Twitter in my life. 🤷♀️
