Somewhat less charming: I read Anna Karenina over my lunch breaks one summer. My job gave me gift cards to a local pizzeria, so that was where I read. It resulted in weird synesthesia; Anna Karenina makes me think of white pizza with broccoli.

Could be worse!! I actually tried to read AK directly after Moby Dick, because i wasn’t sure how to follow up a book like that. And i found that i am not built for Russian literature.
