If these are from UK publications, DG has pretty consistently been Director General for at least the last 30 years.

D of ST may be Department of State

D MOV (N), CCAC, NP2, DNI, NHB, H (N), DMR (N), DUSW (N), DPR (N), DGNT, OM (N), SHORE D (N), CE (N), RO (N), DDWP, and DGM & M. if anybody can help with any of these, I'd very much appreciate it. These are circa 1968.
