Why do I think the "cheap" NGAD might be radarless? The size of AESA radars often dictate the shape and size of the fuselage. F-35/F-22s already use LPIRs (Low-probability-of-intercept radar) to avoid detection, but not having any radar to leak RF/EM would be ideal and free up space for RIST.

The entire skin of the aircraft is the AESA radar. No more panels in the nose. Same with the B-21. 🤙🏼

My opinion is that the #USAF advancements in satellite and laser communications is helping propel the effort to create a redundant, distributed, optically-based battle communication network for next-generation sensing/targeting/engaging enemy air forces.
