I mean, what some of us "learned" about the Six Day War was that Israel's mean Arab neighbors were being mean to Israel and Israel just struck first to prevent an invasion. Also it was a show of force so those mean Arab neighbors would know innocent Israel couldn't be intimidated.

Once you realize that everything is being seen through a lens of Israel's innocence and righteousness, you get that's how anything can be justified and it's almost impossible to talk to people who can't put down that lens and step away from "If they did it there must have been a good reason for it."
