We’re interpreting this broadly: colonialism, apartheid, occupation, displacement, & etc. Whatever aligns with your work, we want to see it! Essays on Palestine very welcome!!

What has to happen to a person’s intellect and soul for them to say, with sincerity and righteousness and the firm belief that they are being helpful, “Technically it’s not a genocide, at least not by some definitions.”

Dont let ppl try to quell outrage or stop you from shutting down genocidal rhetoric via the framework of respect & decorum. Arendt saw in Eichmann what we see so often every day. Sure, he was a big ol boring loser. He was, at the same time and without contradiction, DEEPLY evil.

I wrote this email yesterday. When people call for the deaths of civilians, no matter how many people agree with them and no matter how calmly they appear to present it, no matter how "respectable" they appear, no matter how affectively normal... they are fanatics.

Screenshot of email text saying that a colleague was calling for the murder of civilians, calling that horrific, and saying that "the expression of outrage in response to such inflammatory and disgusting rhetoric is entirely appropriate--and in my view, that trumps decorum every single time"
