Dont let ppl try to quell outrage or stop you from shutting down genocidal rhetoric via the framework of respect & decorum. Arendt saw in Eichmann what we see so often every day. Sure, he was a big ol boring loser. He was, at the same time and without contradiction, DEEPLY evil.
I wrote this email yesterday. When people call for the deaths of civilians, no matter how many people agree with them and no matter how calmly they appear to present it, no matter how "respectable" they appear, no matter how affectively normal... they are fanatics.
