I definitely compared myself to other people to a fault, and just wasn’t confident enough to experiment and test out things without worrying about failing. Which is, like. The whole point of experimenting. Picking up traditional art again, older and I want to think wiser, has been a joy this time.

Perhaps I’m just too early on in the journey of trying things out where it is not frustrating yet. But sometimes I catch myself wishing I had been this eager to go a bit rogue with art back all those years ago, y’know? Perhaps I would be in a much different place creatively today.
