The irony is not lost on me that I left writing about avoiding/dealing with burnout close to my deadline.
annnnd there's "only" 120 candidates whose email addresses we can't find so we'll need to do more pointed outreach to them. Interested in helping with that effort? Sign up here! www.transbaycoalition.org/join/ gotta catch 'em all
Thanks! Big teams effort of lots and lots of volunteers. Looking forward to helping educate voters with the results and get the answers out far & wide
Sounds like they need to run more buses!

That gets my, and the Transbay Coalition's attention. We link up with ACCE and since then been getting the elected leaders of Antioch to speak out more forcefully. City passes a resolution calling for the station to stay open. Congressmember Garamendi sends a scathing letter to the SJJPA (10/x)
Which of course ticks off the people of Antioch! The heros at ACCE Antioch jump into action and hold a protest calling attention to this terrible and unjust decision which will hurt the working class community AND reduce ridership, causing more traffic & pollution (9/x)
So the vote goes through and it's declared that when Oakley Station opens, Antioch will be closed. No ridership projections shared, no assessment for mitigating impact to Antioch people or their TOD plans that are now screwed. No timeline for residents to plan around. Nada (8/x)
