I'd love to see America have a real system for welcoming people to do the jobs we desperately need -- baby sitting (cost of childcare anyone?) , picking vegetables / working farms (grocery store inflation, hello?) etc. The rich love a scared, fearful workforce.

CEQA and planning in general should have more housing exemptions in already urbanized/suburbanized areas—- and perhaps an unbiased disinterested regional planning agency should have the final say on project approvals. The hyperlocal /local people in suburban areas are not suited.
