A very bad scene might be a killer for me. I live horror so I don't read it, rarely even write dark fantasy. Probably won't do the new Shogun, which I hear is excellent. Again--if you watch, in the first episode you will want to have the mute button at hand, and don't watch the torture scene.

The book was one of my absolute fav things as a teenager so I think I will for sure watch it, but also I have no recollection of a torture scene so thanks for the warning. I tend to skip those because ime 99% of the time they don't really add to the plot
